As a Sr. Financial Specialist within PNC’s Retail Finance organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; or Birmingham, AL.

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

The Finance Specialist Senior position is heavily involved in the annual stress test cycle, quarterly reporting and analysis, preparing monthly financial results, and various finance and accounting analyses. This individual will collaborate with all of the Retail segment teams in order to complete detailed attribution and variance analysis to communicate Retail’s financial results. This role also supports a wide variety of other team functions including, but not limited to the Budget/Strategic Plan process, monthly forecasting, controls/risk work, implementation of new accounting standards and corporate finance initiatives, and ad hoc analysis and projects for leadership.

Skill sets: Critical thinking utilized in attribution and variance analysis, strong written and verbal communication, demonstrated attention to detail, prior experience utilizing Hyperion, Excel (VLOOKUP’s, index match, etc.), Wdesk, and Vena. Exposure to consolidating and interpreting CCAR stress testing data.

Job Description

  • Provides and may lead a variety of financial management and accounting services.
  • Prepares internal financial and business metric reports and provides information to support quarterly and annual external reports.
  • Leads annual budget process and monthly forecast updates and may lead or contribute to strategic plans.
  • Delivers performance monitoring and communications and ad hoc finance and accounting analysis, which may include management accounting analysis. Identifies the accounting practices of the business and collaborates with the business on implementation of new accounting standards that impact the business.
  • Delivers information in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, and investors. Prepares financial data and analysis to support risk management and identifies and escalates key risks to management. May also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business. Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes. Compiles data used for Stress Testing Projections.
