As a Technology Engineer, Sr, within PNC’s Security Engineering organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Phoenix, AZ, or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis.

Operations
• Experience and know-how of Windows Server or Linux Server required
• Experience and know-how of on-prem Application Management required
• Must possess understanding of Enterprise Infrastructure (Network, Firewall, Storage, etc.)
• Identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance and technical efficiencies
• Ensure support SLA is maintained within support teams
• Ensure application support documentation is maintained
• Proven experience in vendor management, ensuring quality delivery and accountability in deliverables
• Experience with starting new efforts, and able to thrive in ambiguous environment

Service Excellence
• Practitioner of ITIL best practices for change, problem and incident management
• Knowledge of performance metrics and reporting, technical problem resolution and risk management
• Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance on Technology best practices, trends and innovations.
• Strong sense of self-motivation, ownership, urgency and drive
• Must possess key process skills such as SDLC, Agile and Waterfall structured thinking, flexible problem solving, evaluation and diagnosis
• Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, actionable plans

Core Competencies
• Experience working and performing basic functional troubleshooting of integration issues between business applications is required
• Adept experience working with MS Office Tools (Excel, Powerpoint) required

• Experience and know-how of MS SQL preferred
• Experience with SaaS concepts and experience working with SaaS application vendor teams preferred
• Experience with Reporting Tools such as PowerBI, Tableau a plus
• Experience with Docker a plus
• ITIL Foundations v4 certification a plus
• Experience working in highly regulated industries (healthcare, financial, government, etc.) a plus
• Experience with Physical Security applications a plus

Job Description

• Leads in the development of the most complex new and emerging technologies and selects appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
• Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
• Consults junior staff regarding complex issues and best practices.
• Provides a systematic analysis on the most complex client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
• Oversees the quality of complex project deliverables while ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant standards and processes.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
